I agree with most of your view - we should have no problem paying another 100 yuan under the same circumstances.  A 100 yuan to us is negligible spending, but to the girl, it means a lot.  This is a two-way street and these girls are out there making a living too, not doling out charity.  If she wants to give it free, then consider yourself lucky.  Otherwise, pay la!!
